Another Trip in the Books....

Every year, our church puts together a canoe trip on the Harpeth. Last year, Emily and I went. It was a little rainy and not so fun. But this year, we decided to try it again!

We had so much fun! It was a beautiful day and the water was perfect!  And it was so much fun going down the river with 100 of our friends from church!  The girls had friends to swim with and so did Steve and I!

In fact, Steve and I like it so much, we are talking about getting our own canoe or kayaks! Trying to get more outdoorsy and getting the girls outside more and not on the iPod or in front of the TV. That's a hard task sometimes!

My Baby is Nine....

I can't believe that 9 years ago I have birth to a 9 pound baby. And then I actually got to bring her home! That little bundle of joy has changed me in so many ways, mostly for the good ☺

I love this little first born of mine SO much!

For her party we decided to do a Glamping Party! It's like camping but all girlified!

To be honest, I didn't have the energy and/or time to put the party together like I normally do. But it still turned our great!

We had a tent in the backyard and a fire in the fire pit for s'mores!  The girls started off with a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood.  Then we roasted some hot dogs. And of course had awesome birthday cake!!

Honestly, I think we could have just put up a tent, and they would have loved it!

All in all, it was a great time had by
all!

Wordless Wednesday...

Happiest 5K....

That's how it was advertised and I have to agree!  I'm talking about the Color Run.  Holly and I ran it a while back, but never had the chance to update with pictures.

Holly and I had talked about signing up for it, but it actually sold out before we had the chance to sign up.  Then a friend let Holly take a place a couple weeks before.  And so I was totally bummed!  I wanted to run it and we both decided we don't like running with out each other.  Then the night before she and I were talking about some other friends that were supposed to run it.  The husband ended up coming down with a little bug.  So, at 10:00 the night before, I found out I had a spot!!!!

I was psyched, to say the least!

It was SO much fun!  It was an easy run, but man on man, getting color thrown at you is so much fun!

Holly and I ended up in a little bit of a color fight, but it was all in good fun!  Here's a few photos:
